I sent the gift to her church, and they said they had received it and would give it to her the second they saw her, but that's the last I heard:-\
Has anyone has heard from Bayou Belle lately? Remember, she lives near New Orleans and a lot of us sent relief supplies to her church after Katrina hit. Mayergirl also was arranging a gift basket for her kids which I sadly was unable to contribute to at the time. I was just wondering if she changed her board name of if anyone knows how she is doing. I wonder if she ever got it. I would think she would have let you known if she received it.
I remember a post by her after the holidays. She mentioned being so pleased to have received the gift basket and even mentioned some of the items. I recognized the items I had sent to be included in the basket. So at least we do know that she received it! - Meg B.

Oh - that's good to know. Cami - thanks for bringing that thread up. I never saw it and because she posted it on January 1 when there is so much going on, I bet a lot of people didn't see it. What a horrendous tragedy that Katrina was but it did bring out some real goodness in some people. Mayergirl - that was really nice of you to coordinate that. [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I just bumped it back up for anyone who wants to see it!
ETA: Thanks, Judi, but I didn't do anything so very special. It wouldn't have been anything at all without all of you who contributed! Also, I believe in paying forward instead of back, so now I've paid forward for some of the many kind things others have done for me!!!

I bet a lot of people missed that post due to the holiday season. BayouBelle sounded so touched in her that thread. I am also glad she got the basket. It would have been a shame if somehow it got lost.
I missed the whole gathering of things to send to her personally, as I was in Florida with my daughter until just before Christmas. I'm so glad you ladies did something wonderful for her - she helped so many people herself after Katrina.
